ConocoPhillips

(2010-2011)

Evaluate technologies for handling the associated gas generated from a CO2 EOR Project. The primary objectives were the extraction of LPG (i.e. C3+) and the compression and liquefaction of the residual gases for re-injection. The technologies included in the evaluation were TEG dehydration, mole sieve dehydration, simple fractionation, Ryan-Holmes separation, membrane separation, and amine treating. Side studies evaluated refrigeration options and high pressure compression versus high pressure dense-phase pumping.

The study evaluated the value of the LPG product versus the energy consumption to extract it and simple payout of the capital cost for the installed equipment.

Gabon Oil & Gas Assessments

(2010-2011)

As part of the overall Gabon Infrastructure Plan, has generated this Sector Assessment for the Oil & Gas industries.  This initial assessment complements sector strategies for mining and forestry to form a complete integration of the new infrastructure plan with other major industrial sectors.

Bechtel brought experts from its Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals, Inc. division to Gabon for a 10 day in-country assessment. Working with the Infrastructure team in Gabon, these experts collected public data and held discussions with Government and industry

representatives. A data request to the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons was made in October, 2010. Since these official data will be provided at a future date, the basis of this report is a combination of publicly available data and assumptions from the experience of our staff
